'Tummy tuck' procedure

we present a preparation for abdominplasty

Abdominoplasty surgery, very often called tummy tuck, lifts, tones and flattens the abdominal area by surgically removing excess skin and fat, and restoring weakened or separated muscles. It can be cosmetic or reconstructive in nature.

Abdominoplasty can be performed:

  • With liposuction
  • Without liposuction

  • ABDOMINOPLASTY WITH LIPOSUCTION:
In order to achieve flat stomach the surgeon usually advises patients to undergo abdominal plastic surgery with liposuction. It is intended not only to remove skin excess or abdominal muscles reconstruction but also to eliminate fat excess. In the first place surgeon conducts liposuction, so that he can perform indispensable abdominal plastic surgery later on.

Abdominoplasty surgery is performed under general anesthesia by intubating the patient.
The duration of this surgery depends on the size of the conducted abdominoplasty, but it is usually between 3 to 4 hours.
In more complicated cases this procedure is performed by 2 surgeons to minimise the risk of putting a patient in an unnecessary long anesthesia.

There is 48-hour hospitalisation after abdominoplasty, however, this decision makes the surgeon after assessing patient's health condition. It is very common that people think, that after abdominoplasty patients need to stay in bed for a long time - this is very misleading, because as we can repeatedly see, patients return to the full recovery very soon afterwards.
There might problems with some actions that require more exertion within first few days, but patients are definitely able to exist with no bigger problems.

    Abdominoplasty with liposuction involves:
  • Surgical medical consultation
  • Carrying out of specialist tests
  • Performing a desired procedure
  • Follow up visits

  • FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

    • Abdominoplasty with liposuction for this kind of attractive price?

    • In order to significantly reduce costs we advise that the patient does only small liposuction with abdominoplasty. Of course, along with an increase in size of the surgery - its price increases. The type and the size of the procedure will be accurately determined during medical consultation with a plastic surgeon.

    • Does the price indlude compression clothing?

    • Compression clothing will be worn by the patient just after performed surgery and yes, it is included in the proposed by the surgeon price.

    • What are the guarantees of the success of the surgery?

    • The guarantees of the procedure are exactly the same as in other clinics, not only in Poland but abroad as well.
What does it mean? It means that, the treatment is characterized by full professionalism, and material used for the surgery are products of the highest world quality that are utilised in all reputable clinics. For many years we have been dealing with organization of different types of procedures, therefore we are well aware of the needs of every client.

    • Is there any possibility to connect other surgeries with abdominoplasty with liposuction?

    • The answer is negative, because even if through our company, the surgeons can carry out ear correction and eyelids correction surgeries together, all other procedures combination is not too advisable. We are fully aware that there are surgeons who offer combining, not only these kind of procedures, but in our opinion the risk of postoperative complications is much too high to take.
We do not criticise, however, people who do offer or decide to undergo this solution, but we prefer to lose few clients rather than to take unreasonable risk by combining procedures that should not be carried out together.
Anyhow, in case of having interest in more than one procedure through our agency, patients can count on very attractive discounts.

    • Is it true that abdominoplasty can sometimes be carried out on the hips instead of the abdomen?

    • Yes, it is possible, however, this decision needs to be approved by the surgeon during medical consultation. This type of procedure can delay wound healing. The incision on the stomach is performed in its lower part, that is why it is effectively masked, but unfortunately the upper part of the incision is not as easy to cover. It means that this kind of surgery is only performed as a result of having larger fat deposits, otherwise the risk of client's dissatisfaction is comparable to the advantage achieved (visible scars). Anyhow all the 'pros and cons' and a proper method choice will be thoroughly analyzed at the medical consultation.

    • Is there a guarantee like, 'satisfaction or money refund'?

    • There is not such a thing in plastic surgery. There might be surgeons or intermediary organizations that do offer solutions like that, but there is nothing more wrong. Plastic surgery is not like mathematics, in which everything can be measured, calculated, estimated. Moreover, what is attractive to one person, does not mean the other person will feel the same way about it.
In order to avoid misunderstandings, it is crucial that all the patients' needs are properly analyzed and agreement regarding own expectations with the surgeon is achieved during medical consultation.
Abdominoplasty surgeries are only conducted by experienced surgeons, who on numerous occasions, had the possibility of performing these kind of procedures.

    • What are the most common problems occuring after abdominoplasty with liposuction?

    • The most common problem occuring after abdominoplasty surgery is a loss of serum fluid from the operated areas (in most cases there are no occuring problems).
It means, there is an increased production of serum fluid in operated areas. This fluid, in some more serious cases, should be systematically removed by the surgeon for the next couple of days after the surgery.
In most cases the situation is stabilized without the need of using this above method, but in our opinion patient should be aware of different potential complications. It is very important that the loss of the fluid was treated due to the fact, that stitches and wounds are still not fully healed and a constant loss of the fluid might lead to the bacterial infection which, in consequence, can result in an occurance of more serious infection in a later time.
Abdominoplasty with liposuction should be performed by really competent doctors with fully professional attitude to work. Even then, in case of any problems mentioned above, the surgeon will carry out proper treatment intended to a full patient's recovery.

    • When can I return to practising sport?

    • Usually in abdominoplasty, the patient can return to practising sport minimum after 2 months. The same applies to sunbathing, using sauna and different types of massages.

    • Esthetic surgery and menstruations?

    • The procedure should be planned definitely when there is no risk of menstruation occurrence. Otherwise there is a huge risk, that plastic surgeon or anesthesiologist will not be able to qualify a patient to the surgery.

    ABDOMINOPLASTY WITHOUT LIPOSUCTION:
In most cases patients decide to undergo abdominoplasty surgery with a small liposuction.

Below are some motives for conducting abdominoplasty without the need of liposuction:

  • Excess of falling skin after pregnancy,
  • Fast weight loss,
  • Elimination of stretch marks.

  • While in the first two cases this procedure works perfectly, yet in the third regarding elimination of stretch marks, the result is dependent on many factors. Anyhow, this procedure is aimed not at removing stretch marks occurring on the stomach but significantly improve the appearance of the patient.
It is important to highlight that abdominoplasty is not intended to totally remove stretch marks and like liposuction, it is not a method to lose weight.

    Characteristic of abdominoplasty without liposuction:

    • Less invasive than abdominoplasty with liposuction,
    • Shorter recovery afterwards,
    • Less frequent loss of fluid.

The procedure is under general anesthesia, and hospitalization is between 24 - 48 hours.

The most common incision in abdominoplasty is a classic way of leading an incision called 'the wings of seagulls'.
Very often before the surgery, patients are convinced that a perpendicular incision from stomach to navel will be done. This kind of incision is only done in some more complicated cases in patients that must undergo liposuction as well.
