Breast augmentation procedure aims at enlarging of the volume of breast by placing implants in so called 'pockets' (spaces created in breast tissue during the surgery).
We will explain now different techniques and ways, explaining all the unclarities at the same time.
There are hardened silicone implants, of known manufacturers, used for the surgery, and many of them have lifetime warranty.

1 day before the surgery, a medical consultation takes place, during which the patient and the surgeon decide on the type of the implant and where exactly should it be placed.
Generally, for this procedure general anesthesia is used. We are aware that local anesthesia is offered by the surgeons numerous times, but from our point of view general anesthesia is 'more convenient' both for the patient and the surgeon. Anyway, the decision is made during the medical consultation along with the surgeon and anesthesiologist.

Medical consultation is scheduled on the first day, as well as a visit in the hospital on patient's wish. The next day is devoted to the essential medical tests and if there are no contraindications, the operation is performed.

Recuperation lasts usually 24hrs. If any postoperative complications do occur, the patient will stay in the hospital until her full recovery.

Problems that can occur after breast augmentation surgery:

  • Bleeding,
  • Infecions,
Such cases do occur very rarely, however, the patient will need to be aware of pros and cons of breast enlargement plastic surgery.

Follow up visits will be scheduled within next days, during which the surgeon will assess patient's recuperation process and health condition.
The sutures used in the surgery might be either classic or absorbable (this type is very desired by the patients, its removal is not necessary at all).

We do not advise these surgeries to people who suffer from:
  • Cardiopulmonary disease;
  • Thrombocytosis and blood disorders;
  • Other illnesses;
  • People who are influenced by the environment or prevailing fashion (it is FUNDAMENTAL to be 100% sure and ready for the surgery).

  • Basic information about breast augmentation surgery:

    Breast enlargement surgery was first performed in 1895 by a german-austriac manufacturer Vincenz Czerny, who had started his research in Eastern Europe.

    Probably, there are hundreds of thousands women, who underwent breast enlargement surgery. It is very hard to establish an exact number of performed procedures.
    Nowadays there are many different methods on the market of carrying out breast enlargement surgery.

    Main types of incisions used in breast augmentation surgery:

    There are different techniques of inserting the implants:

    • Subglandular implant placement
    • Submuscular implant placement
    • Dual plane

    Breast enlargement - implants:
    There are many different types of implants on the market (mentor, mcghan, euro silicone, sebbin).
    We do not impose brand selection in any way, the decision will be made after the medical consultation, a day before planned surgery.
    There is no perfect choice of an implant during breast enlargement surgery, which is definitely the best.
    The selection of the implant is primarily a surgeon's job, but everything depends on patient's expectations as well.

Before the surgery:
All required tests will be done onsite after the medical consultation. In casy of any conditions, previously mentioned during the reservation, the surgeon might ask about a medical certificate.
We need to mention that vast majority of patients, that decides to undergo breast enlargement surgery stays in a very good health.
No alcohol and smoking is recommended before the surgery. As far as medications concerned, every case is different and will be discussed during the medical consultation with the surgeon.

Surgeries are carried out in private hospitals equipped in the most modern equipment, supported by the most qualified medical staff. Breast enlargement procedure lasts around 1,5 - 2 hours. General anesthesia is usually used and patients are intubated. This method is the most convenient one, as it allows avoid any potential attacks of panic or other problems associated with the surgery.

After the surgery:
After the procedure, the patient stays in the hospital for a minimum of one night in order to assess her well-being and for the purpose of monitoring her health condition. There is a planned surgeon's visit on the next day, during which the surgeon will decide about possible hospital discharge.
After the procedure some pain afflictions are possible to occur, which usually disappear fast.
There are follow up visits scheduled within next couple of days.

The decision about the choice of sutures will be made during the medical consultation, between traditional and absorbable ones.

Questions and doubts:
No surgeon can guarantee that the patient will be 100% happy and satisfied with the results of the surgery. Every specialist's work is based on his own experience and professionalism, but the effects of the surgery can sometimes not go together with the expectations.
Every surgery needs to be certified, meaning confirmed that it had been performed with all rules and regulations, but the satisfaction can depend on other factors, not necessarily related to medical aspects.
This must be said in order to indicate pros and cons before the surgery.
