Facelift

we present a woman with preparation for mini facelift

The main aim of this type of treatment is a significant rejuvenation of facial skin.

Various different methods and techniques do exist, the main ones are:

  • Mini facelift performed only on skin
  • Mini facelift performed both on skin and muscles
  • Mini facelift performed by using so called 'Russian sutures' (Apthos sutures)

  • In this type of procedure the incisions are done around ears, therefore it allows for effective masking of possible scars.

The difference between facelift and mini facelift lies in the size of performed face procedure.
During mini facelift, only some specified part is treated, whereas full facelift refers to the whole skin of the face.

In most cases local anesthesia is used, however the decision about the choice of anesthesia is made after the medical consultation with the surgeon.

Mini facelift causes no later problems, which allows for a quick recovery and return to patient's daily routine.

This treatment is mainly for patients between 35 and 50 years of age, who are not satisfied with their appearance.

Mini facelift is vital when it comes to an effective pause of the aging process, which becomes visible after some time. The main common factors that drive patients to decide to undergo mini facelift treatment are visible wrinkles or occuring of overstretched skin.

It is much easier to prevent the occurence of later problems by deciding to undergo mini lift sooner, which also helps eliminate some small skin imperfections. If this is not done, it might lead to necessity of undergoing deep facelift, which is much more complicated and more expensive. Therefore mini facelift is intended to not only rejuvenate our skin, but more importantly its function is to protect.

A medical consultation is scheduled on patient's arrival, as well as a visit in the clinic on patient's request. All required tests, prescribed at the consultation, are taken on the next day. In the afternoon mini lifting will be performed.

Mini facelift is usually performed within one day. In case of any complications the patient will need to stay in the clinic until the problem is solved.
There are follow up visits scheduled within next couple of days after the procedure, which are aimed for assessing patient's health condition.
Complications mentioned above do occur very rarely but the patient needs be aware of the pros and cons of the mini facelift.

Usually absorbable sutures are used for mini facelift which, based on their functionality, they are the most frequent patient's choice.

Please do not hesitate to contact our consultant if you have any questions or enquiries regarding mini facelift, we will be more than happy to help you.
